Important Updates for the First Home Meet
Only 3 more days till our first home meet of the season. Please make sure you read over everything as we have a few new things for Home Meets this year. The Theme this week is NEON/GLOW IN THE DARK.
All swimmers need to go into Swimtopia and "declare" if they are available for the meet or not (if your swimmer is an alternate that isn't necessary, we will reach out if there is a spot) by tomorrow Tuesday, June 6 at 11:30pm. If you don't let us know we will assume that your swimmer isn't available and they will NOT be placed in the meet. Directions to declare if you are available or not:
- Go to https://leescrossing.swimtopia.com/swim_meets
- It should list the meets and you will find the one versus Echo Mill. Click on the button labeled "Meet Entry Open"
- You will then edit each of your swimmers to let us know if they are attending or not.
- There is a space as well for a note to the coach if there is something they need to be made aware of. Then, you click to save it.
- You will need to do this every week for each meet.
- Go to https://leescrossing.swimtopia.com/swim_meets
- It should list the meets and you will find the one versus Echo Mill. Click on the button labeled "Job Sign Up Open"
- You will click "sign up for jobs" under your name.
- It will give you a list of all jobs we still need filled. If you scroll over the small "i" in the black circle it gives a description of each job.
- You click the box next to the job you would like to do and hit "save assignments"
- All Swimmers need to be in the pool for warm ups at 5pm. The meet will start at 6pm.
- Volunteers need to check in with our Volunteer Coordinators, Cindy Tam and Sarah Delaney. They will give you a name tag and go over any instructions you might need.
- This is new this year. Please bring chairs to the meet! The Lee's Crossing chaise lounges will be put away for the meet. This allows more room for others to walk through and to have more people on the deck.
- PLEASE READ ABOUT PARKING-There is going to be a tennis match going on during our Meet this Thursday. Most of our parking lot will be reserved for the coordinators, coaches, officials, concessions, etc plus tennis people. If you can walk to the meet or if you can carpool that is the ideal situation. If you have a friend that lives close to the pool that will let you park in their driveway, that would be great too. You need to ensure that you do not park on either side of the entrance or the exit of the parking lot. You may park on Chestnut Hill Circle with the flow of traffic going towards the pool. Do not park on the opposite side of the road (there will be no parking signs). Please ensure that you leave room for stop signs as well (we did have the police show up last year and they will issue tickets). As evidenced by the emergency at the meet last week. a firetruck/ambulance has to be able to get through. This applies to all roads in the neighborhood. Only use one side of the road. We had issues with parking at picture day with people parking on both sides and the HOA got complaints.
Reminder that if you would like to participate in the Patti Wilder Meet, I need to know by this Thursday! I have heard from a few families and many of them would like to get some relays going so let us know.
See you at the Pool!
