New Info for Legacy Park Meet
We heard from Legacy Park this evening and have some new details for those swimming in the meet. The address is 4201 Legacy Park Circle, Kennesaw GA 30144. The Meet is held at The Main Pool. When driving on the circle, it is the pool with the splash pad and their logo on the shed that is visible from the circle. They have a parking lot and any overflow parking will be on the circle. They ask that you only park on the inside of the circle facing the direction of traffic. Parking down the streets of the individual neighborhoods is strictly forbidden. T
he Visitor side is the right side of the pool - this is the splash pad side. Our warmups begin at 5:30. The Official will call for timers, lane managers, and place judges to meet in the clubhouse at 5:30(ish). Please allow extra time with traffic at that time of day. If you are volunteering at the meet, please check in with our Volunteer Coordinators Cindy Tam and Sarah Delaney to receive your name tag and instructions.
They will have concessions serving hamburgers, hot dogs, walking tacos, pizza, Chick fil A sandwiches etc. Please remember your chairs. If this is your first time going to a meet, make sure you read the What to Expect at a Swim Meet document: https://leescrossing.swimtopia.com/swim-meet-101
We are keeping an eye on the weather. So far we have been blessed with nice weather, but we want to remind you that we will swim in the rain. If it gets too hard to see the bottom, the meet will be postponed until the rain lets up. If it lightnings or thunders, we have to clear the pool deck and wait 30 minutes to resume the meet. We ask that you please do not leave. We don't like to reschedule so we will do our best to get the meet in. If you leave it impacts the team especially relays. Fingers crossed the weather will be good Thursday evening.
At this point, we have heard from almost every family as to if they are available for the meet or not. If something changes, please let us know asap. We do still have space in the meet for more swimmers.
Go Cyclones!
