Final Reminders for Our Last Home Meet
June 21st
Our last Home Meet is tomorrow against Parkwood Commons. Swimmers will need to be in the pool for warm ups at 5pm. The theme for this week's meet is a GREEN OUT to celebrate our final Home Meet. We will have the Kona Ice Truck there as well as our concession stand that will take cash or Venmo.
We are keeping an eye on the weather. It appears currently like it should clear off in time for the meet. We do swim in the rain unless it is too hard to see the bottom. If there is thunder or lightning, we will delay the meet for 30 minutes after the last lightning strike. Please do not leave the meet. We will resume the meet as soon as we are able to. Our goal is to get the meet in and not reschedule.
As a reminder, we will be sharing the space for the meet with the tennis team like last time. We are going to be using our parking lot for our reserved spots for the referee, coaches, coordinators, tennis team as well as for handicap spots. We ask that you carpool, walk or park in a neighbors driveway if possible. Please do not park at the entrance or exit to the parking lot. Please also park only on one side of the road going with the flow of traffic and not near a stop sign. We need to ensure emergency vehicles could get through to the pool if needed.
Thank you to all of the families that have signed up to volunteer! We couldn't do it without each of you!
On Friday, we will have fun swim with donuts and ribbons at our normal practice times including Whirlpools. Looking ahead, we have the End of Season Awards on Tuesday night and our final home meet at Hardage Farms on Thursday. We will have practice Monday-Thursday next week.
