Reminders for our Meet this Thursday
We are a couple days away from our first swim meet. We wanted to highlight a few things and share some updates. We have discovered that the tennis team will be having matches this Thursday during our swim meet. In addition, they are supposed to be resurfacing some of the tennis courts and may have trucks/trailers parked in the parking lot. With that in mind, there will not be any parking available in our parking lot. We have to save spots for the opposing teams coaches and coordinators, the referee, concessions, etc. If you can walk, carpool and/or park in a neighbor's driveway, we highly recommend it. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We are also not thrilled about this news. We will be out there blocking things off as early as possible.
- On a happy note, the Kona Ice Truck will be here during the meet.
- Our meet theme is Pajamas! So bring some cozy pjs for a team pic and to keep you warm at the end of the night when the sun goes down.
- Please make sure you go in and mark if your swimmer is or is not available for the meet in Swimtopia. See instructions below on how to do that if you aren't sure.
- The coaches are finishing up time trials and will let us know if your swimmer isn't quite ready for meets yet by tomorrow.
- We have one more job that needs to be filled for the meet, the second half announcer. It is not hard at all. You just sit next to the announcer and do the air horn for each heat. You also get a great view of the pool!
- All swimmers need to be in the pool at 5 for warm ups. Volunteers should check in with Cindy and Sarah inside the clubhouse to get your nametag. This our way of knowing who is and isn't here.
This Saturday, we will have our Turns and Dives Clinic for ages 7 and up from 9-10am. The cost is $5 cash preferred. Once again it is not required that you sign up ahead of time, it just helps us with planning. Here is the link: https://forms.gle/
