3 Amigos Spirit Night, Meet on June 12, Patti Wilder & Picture Day

***We have our 3 Amigos Spirit Night this Monday, June 9. Dine in and to go orders count. Just drop your receipt in the bucket by the door. In addition if you wear your Cyclones t-shirt from this year to the restaurant, you will get a free cheese dip!
A few reminders and updates:
- We have our next meet on Thursday against Brookstone 3 and it is a home meet as well. All swimmers need to be in the pool for warm ups at 5pm and the meet begins at 6pm.
- The Kona Ice truck will be here again this week.
- We have opened up the sign ups for the meet and you have until Tuesday at 11:30pm to declare for the meet. Please go to:https://leescrossing.
swimtopia.com/swim_meets and click on "Meet Entry". Then, you should see your swimmer's names and you click "Edit". There will be a dropdown menu and you will select "attending" or "not attending". If you are an alternate, we will let you know if a spot is open. - You will also use the link https://leescrossing.
swimtopia.com/swim_meets to sign up to volunteer at the meet. You will click on "Job Sign Up". Then select your parent name and choose a volunteer position. To read more information about each volunteer position, you can hover over the small "i" next to the volunteer position. Our volunteer coordinators, Sarah Delaney & Jane Whitfield, are happy to answer any questions you might have. Remember everyone is asked to volunteer at 4 out of the 5 meets.
If your swimmer is one of the top 20 swimmers in their individual events (ages 7 & up), they will return that afternoon for the finals. For ages 5 & 6, their swims in the morning count as the finals.
There will be a practice at Mountain View on Friday evening. This is a great chance for your swimmer to see what their blocks look like and practice swimming in an indoor pool.
If your swimmer would like to participate, please email us back and let us know that they are interested, You can choose the events they swim in. You can also ask the coaches for input into what they recommend. We have to register, so our team deadline to sign up is Thursday, June 12. Once we know how many kids we have and if we can do relays, we will give you the final total cost that can be paid via cash, check or on Venmo.
This is a very fun meet that allows your swimmer to swim against kids in different leagues around Cobb County. We have had some great successes. There are ribbons and medals given out after the Meet as well. If your child does well, they could go on to State to compete. We have had swimmers go all the way to state.

This is a good way to also help decide what events they want to do. Remember it is not just about being fast, but also about ensuring they do a "legal stroke" every single time.
