Details for the First Home Meet

Our first home meet is coming up on Thursday against Hardage Farms at the Lee's Crossing Pool. We know this email is long, but please read to the end to ensure you are prepared.

  1. All swimmers should be in the pool for warm ups at 5:00pm. The meet will start at 6pm.
  2. We still need several more jobs filled in order to have the meet. Our volunteer coordinators will reach out if you haven't signed up yet. You can go to: https://leescrossing.swimtopia.com/swim_meets to sign up. If you are unsure of what the job entails, we will happily assist you.
  3. Volunteers need to check in with our Volunteer Coordinators, Jane Whitfield and Sarah Delaney upon arrival on the day of the meet (they will be in the clubhouse). They will give you a name tag and go over any instructions you might need. There will be a volunteer meeting with the referee for some of the first and second half volunteers typically 15 minutes before the meet begins.
  4. Please bring chairs to the meet! The Lee's Crossing chaise lounges will be put away for the meet. This allows more room for others to walk through and to have more people on the deck.
  5. PLEASE READ ABOUT PARKING-Almost all of our parking lot will be reserved for the coordinators, coaches, officials, concessions, etc. If you can walk to the meet or if you can carpool that is the ideal situation. If you have a friend that lives close to the pool that will let you park in their driveway, that would be great too. You need to ensure that you do not park on either side of the entrance or the exit of the parking lot. You may park on Chestnut Hill Circle with the flow of traffic going towards the pool. Do not park on the opposite side of the road (there will be no parking signs). Please ensure that you leave room for stop signs as well (we did have the police show up last year and they will issue tickets). A firetruck/ambulance has to be able to get through. This applies to all roads in the neighborhood. Only use one side of the road. We will have a volunteer parking attendant in the parking lot assisting. Our parking lot only has one handicap spot. If you know that your family will need a handicap spot, please respond so we can ensure we save additional spots.
  6. We will have our concessions stand open serving burgers, hot dogs, pizza, pulled pork sandwiches as well as drinks and snacks. We will take cash or Venmo. All proceeds from the concession stand go right back into our team. Thank you for supporting! We also would like to thank Bernard Jarroush for once again heading up the concession stand.
  7. The Kona Ice truck will also be here on Thursday.
  8. Our theme for this week's meet is Hawaiian Luau!
Please see if you can help at the meet and let us know if you have any questions. Sarah and Emily
